At present, in the sheet metal industry, it is common to use riveting screws to fix threaded screws on sheet metal parts. There are two types of riveting methods and tooling. One is riveting with riveting guns, which is mainly used for riveting. Sheet metal parts riveting with a small number of varieties and maintenance-oriented; the other is sheet metal stamping die riveting, which is mainly used for large-volume single-type sheet metal parts riveting. These two riveting methods have fatal shortcomings-low production efficiency, high labor intensity and poor quality riveting stability.
The riveting gun riveting step is as follows: take the part, insert the riveting screw, screw the riveting gun head into the riveting screw, pull the riveting gun head, and spin out the riveting screw.
Disadvantages of riveting gun riveting methods: complicated steps, low efficiency of manual insertion and release of riveting screws, low production efficiency, high staffing skills, short service life of the riveting gun, and short life of the riveting gun head.
2.Mould riveting method
Mold riveting steps: take the part, insert the riveting screw, position the riveting and a finished product on the mold.
Disadvantages of the mold riveting method: complicated steps, low efficiency of manual insertion of the riveting screw, low production efficiency, poor compatibility of the fixed stroke riveting method to the length deviation of the riveting screw, and unstable riveting quality.
